What You’ll Do
| 🩺 Treat each patient and customer with the highest level of compassion and care | 👨⚕️ Assist doctors with appointments, surgery, and client education so they can focus on overall patient care |
| 📋 Perform initial patient evaluation, reporting to the doctor on the nature of the visit and client concerns | 🔬 Obtain and prepare lab samples (blood, urine, fecal, cytology) for in-house and external analysis |
| 🐾 Restrain animals safely, efficiently, and compassionately during examinations and procedures | 💉 Perform venipuncture, place IV catheters, calculate drip rates, and administer IV medications |
| 💊 Accurately prepare and dispense medications as directed, ensuring proper records and client charges | 😴 Monitor anesthesia and surgical recovery, and communicate with owners throughout |
| 🔧 Prepare and set up for medical, surgical, and diagnostic imaging — using proper sterile technique and equipment checks | 🧹 Maintain a safe, secure, healthy, and humane environment through sanitation, sterilization, and regulatory compliance |
| 🐕 Monitor hospitalized pets, administer treatments, and ensure food, water, and welfare are properly addressed | 💻 Utilize hospital computer systems to document medical records and communicate with clients and teammates |
Who We’re Looking For

| 🎓 Certification | Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) |
| 🧠 Experience | 2+ years of direct patient care experience preferred |
| 📚 Exams | Passed the VTNE or on track to pass it shortly |
| ⚡ Mindset | Calm under pressure, proactive, detail-oriented |
| 🕒 Schedule | Flexible (evenings, weekends, holidays) |
| 💬 Communication | Confident in communicating with clients under pressure, and a strong collaborative team member |
Physical & Safety Requirements
This role is active, hands-on, and fast-paced in an urgent care setting. You should be comfortable with:
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Working at a keyboard or workstation for part of the day
- Kneeling, bending, crouching, balancing, and crawling when needed
- Lifting up to 50 lbs
- Handling sick, injured, or fractious animals
- Working around zoonotic disease risks, cleaning products, anesthetic gases, radiation, and other hospital-related hazards
- Following all clinic safety procedures and applicable workplace standards
Compensation & Perks
