Alexis Prentice is a Registered Veterinary Technician who graduated in 2020. She went directly into emergency medicine, where she found her passion. While working in ER, she was part of the Oncology Team and took great pride in watching her patients improve.
Alexis grew up on a farm and always had a passion for animals, which led her to take the Veterinary assistant program. She graduated in 2017 and worked in shelter medicine and general practice for two years before deciding to go back to school to pursue a more involved role as a technician.
Alexis has a special interest in emergency and critical care, client education, and improving the veterinary industry with a focus on support staff and burnout prevention. This led her to join the Veterinary Urgent Care Group in February 2024, where she utilizes her skills and emergency experience to help your furry family members when they need it most.
Alexis is known for her bubbly personality and caring nature. She has a passion for special needs animals and has two disabled cats of her own, Valentina and Fish. She also has a long-haired tuxedo cat named Dedos because of his many toes!
When she is not working, you can find her in the gym, outdoors, or spending time with her family.
